JustRite Snowman

Quick post today. I made this last night using the snowman from JustRite's Vintage Christmas set. Isn't he cute? I used this sweet tree skirt as my inspiration.

He is colored with Prismacolor pencils and his scarf is paper pieced. I used a little liquid applique for some texture on the snow. Pretty quick and easy.

Also, I have a little thank you blog candy this week here, good luck! Thank you for stopping by. :)

Thank You Helmar!

Yesterday I received an amazing package of goodies from Helmar. I won their Twitter contest last week, and I had to make a card this morning with my fun new stuff! I was still in the clean and simple mood and used this BEAUTIFUL stamp set from Unity, Happy Everything. I used Helmar ZAPDOTS to pop up the image panel and Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for the ribbon, this is my go to glue. I love that it dries so quickly, that's the worst thing for a crafter - having to wait for part of your project to dry before moving on to the next part, lol!

That's it, pretty quick and easy. Thank you for stopping by, happy Friday! :)

Joy

Happy Friday! I wanted to post a couple of CAS Christmas cards this morning. I used this sweet little Joy Plain Jane from Verve. A little coloring and little scoring, and done! I made up a few of these quick and simple cards to send out this year. Well, that's it for now, thank you for taking the time to stop by, have a fantastic weekend! :)

You Rock

Yesterday was my baby girl's birthday, it really is amazing how quickly time goes by. She plays guitar so when I saw this Kenny K digi stamp, I knew it was perfect for her, she loves fuzzy boots, check out the boots on this girl!

I know it's blurry, but I wanted to try to get the look of the boots. I used Sparkly Fluff, it looks kinda flat, but they are sparkly and fluffy IRL :) She is colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS, and she has a little glitter on her eyeshadow from my Sakura gel pen. This was my first attempt at coloring hair, I tried to get the highlights and shadows, but it didn't really work out, lol. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and I love those little music note brads I picked up on clearance a couple of years ago, so cute! That's it! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by, have a great week. :)

Viva la Verve Nov. Week 2

Boy, it's been busy here lately. Finally got a little time to myself this morning and made this card using one of the Viva la Verve sketches for this month. Here is the sketch and the inspiration picture. I love cardinals and knew I wanted to use this stamp from JustRite, it's one of my favorites, I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I wanted to keep the card pretty simple, and use a lot of white like the picture. The ovals are stamped from a background stamp from Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds set, and the sentiment is from one of Verve's newest releases, Glad Tidings. A little piercing for a little interest, and that's it. Thank you so much for popping in, have a wonderful weekend!! :)

WCMD Revisited

I have never submitted any of my cards, I am still pretty new to card making, and can't stand rejection, lol! But when I saw Paper Craft's amazing prize pack that they were giving away for WCMD, I had to try. Well, I didn't receive an email saying that I was one of the lucky few, so I guess it is safe to go ahead and post pics of my non winners.

The first card is using the Puppy Love set from There She Goes, I love it, that little puppy is just so darn cute! The sign he is holding is blank, so you can pick your sentiment. I made a cloud mask and sponged the sky, and he is colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.

I love round cards! This one I tea dyed some vintage lace, and used a sentiment from Verve.
I had another card, but for some reason, that file was corrupted on my SD card.

I am thrilled that all the non winners, (I think it was like 1600, wow!) are going to Operation Write Home, such a fabulous cause!

Thank you so much for popping by, hope you have a fantastic weekend! :)

Viva la Verve November Week 1

New month, new Viva la Verve sketches! This is for week 1. Amber gave us three inspiration pictures from The Country Porch to choose from. They have some really cute stuff for country decorating.

Here is the sketch and the inspiration picture that I chose. The red gingham is a rubber stamp, and the snowflakes are from a dollar stamp from Michael's. The frame is from JustRite and the sentiment is from Verve. I used the Fleur de lis nestie for my ornament. I added some twine and a little stitching and distressing, and that's about it. Thank you so much for taking a peek, have a great night and a Happy Halloween. :)

Hoot Hoot Halloween

Ok, I have learned not to try sewing in the dark, lol. I made this card last night, I don't have a crafting room, or even an area. :( All my stuff is in shoe boxes that I have to pull out every time I make a card. I pulled out my sewing machine and had to use it in the dark, hubby was watching tv, and he's a troll who loves the dark, lol. I could have waited, but I wanted to finish. Anyway, my stitching looks terrible, eh, oh well. I used this cute owl set from Hero Arts again, and this fun paper from Nikki Sivils, it's on sale now at Artful Delight, as is Cosmo Cricket's Matilda pad. There are only a couple left, hurry and check it out!

Oh and Verve's winter release is tonight. The sneak peeks have been just beautiful! I can't wait to see the rest of the release. Thank you for taking a peek, have a fantastic weekend!

Isn't it gorgeous! That image is really sweet. I chose to use my new Puppy Love from There She Goes Stamps and some fun bright papers from K & Co. The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils, that's it. Thanks so much for taking a peek, have a wonderful week! :)

This card was so much fun! I used crumpled tissue paper and Distress Inks on the main panel and orange panels, I love this technique! Then I stamped the spiders and the webs, so cute! The little owl is colored with Prismacolor pencils and the sketch is Amber's from this week's Viva la Verve sketch. That's about it, quick and fun! Thank you very much for stopping by, have a fantastic weekend!

Curtain Call Act 52

My mojo is still missing, but I still got a card done using last week's Viva la Verve sketch and this week's colors for Curtain Call. I love how these colors work together. The butterfly and flourish are both from Verve's Blue Skies set, and the sentiment is one of those fabulous freebies that Julee throws in. And check out that coverage with the white ink on dark cardstock. It is Frost White from Colorbox. This is the first white ink that I have been happy with.

Thank you so much for stopping in. :)
