Viva la Verve

I made this card for this week's Viva la Verve sketch challenge. This month we are going into kitchens for our inspiration. I chose the picture of the Eastside Market with the black, yellow, and red. I was going to use the shabby cottage kitchen with the pink, cream, and light aqua, but I am waiting on my first order from PTI for paper, so I went with this picture. But, this gave me a chance to ink up my first stamp from MFT, Gifty Girl, and Express Yourself from Verve. I have had both sets for months and now have finally used them, yay! I used my Bic Markits, Copics are nowhere in my near future :( and my Prismacolor pencils. The dress is stamped with polka dots from Bountiful Background from Verve and heat embossed, then that and the bags were paper pieced. Thanks for popping in! :)

Mojo 127

I made this card for my mom's little neighbor. My Mom came to me with these two dies and said she needed a birthday card for her neighbor. So I quickly made up this little card with this week's Mojo sketch. The base is embossed with a happy birthday folder, the panel was sponged, the inside has "Happy Birthday" stamped. This was my first card for a boy, hope he likes it.

Edit: I just realized that with being in such a hurry, that I forgot the panel on the left, eek! Oh, well, the card is gone, and the little neighbor won't notice that it's not just like the sketch.:) TFL

2 Sketches 4 You

I have not had a chance to make a card in a few days, and tonight I was finally able to sit down and work on this week's 2 Sketches 4 You, by Laura. My stamps are Notes of Prayer by Verve. I knew I wanted to use this set, I sat down and it came together very quickly. I'm going to see if I can squeeze another card in tonight. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

Viva la Verve

I made this card for the Viva la Verve sketch challenge, Feb. week 4. We were given 3 different inspiration pictures to choose from. I chose these really sweet napkins (available on Etsy)
The pink background was embossed with an embossing folder. The cream colored paper was stamped with Verve's Leaves stamp. The flowers are from Verve also, Budding Blossoms. They are heat embossed and the flowers were double stamped, cut out and popped up. I did some stitching, I really love the look, and the sentiment is Circular Sayings, also from Verve. Thanks so much for popping in to take a peek. :)

Mojo Monday 126

I made this card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I love this little stamp from Penny Black. I really need to get more Penny Black stamps (this is my only one, oh my!), they have such cute images! I colored this little mouse with my Prismcolor pencils. I am new at using them, but they are so much fun! Another reason to get more image stamps, so I can color more. :) The sentiment is from Verve's Circular Sayings. And I used my new Martha Stewart edge punch. Thanks for stopping by. :)

2 Sketches 4 You

I made this card for this week's 2 Sketches 4 You challenge. I used Verve's Up Up and Away Stamps. The balloon and basket are paper pieced, and the balloon and clouds in front are popped up. This was my first time making a little "scene", I'm not really too happy with my trees or hills. I may make another card if I have time this week. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Covered Chocolate Box

I bought this little heart shaped box of chocolates, (only 3 in there!) and covered it, added a little stitching and stamped my little Black Tie Birdies from Verve. I had to use my corner rounder to make my scallops, there must be an easier way! I take it there are scissors that make the large scallops, I need to find some. Thanks for taking a peek! :)

Viva la Verve

I made this card for this week's Viva la Verve sketch challenge. I loved this sketch when I saw it! Along with Amber's awesome sketch, she gave us three different dining rooms to pull our inspiration from. I chose the pink one with the green wall hanging, and the big, beautiful, pink flowers on the table.
I used my Nesties, my tiny hole punch around my scallop circle, my favorite embossing folder, Swiss Dots, and did some stitching. My stamps are Budding Blossoms from Verve. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

2 Sketches 4 You

I made this card for this week's 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge. This sketch really had me stumped. I woke up thinking about it this morning, and for some reason thought about an all white card. I finally had an idea, so I ran with it. I used embossing folders for my background and my little rectangle at the bottom. I also used my Fiskars edge punch and Nestabilities. I gave my swan a little sparkle :) The feathers are double stamped and popped up. My stamp set is called Swan Song from Verve. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

2 Sketches 4 You

I made this card for the 2 Sketches 4 You Sketch 45. It's my second round card. The cupcake is popped up and the image is Inkadinkado, the sentiment is from Verve. I used fabric paint for my dots and sprinkles. I did not realize that my card was sitting crooked until I uploaded it. Oh well, I guess it's not too bad, lol. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

Mojo Monday 124

I made this card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. The paper is from a pad from DCWV, my stamp is a Plain Jane from Verve, it is just too sweet. I flipped the sketch on its side, and used some machine stitching. That's about it, it came together pretty fast for me. :) Thanks for stopping by.
