JustRite Friday Challenge 011: Sympathy/Get Well

I have not been making cards very long, and had yet to make a sympathy card. This week Justrite Stampers' challenge is to make one. I love my new Justrite stamps, and can't wait to get some more! I used a Martha Stewart edge punch, and some nesties. My sentiment and oval border are both heat embossed with clear powder. I need more practice on my bows though, lol. Thanks for stopping in to take a peek. :)

Verve March Project Parade

Verve stamps is having a spring project parade, Fun With Flowers. The Verve Divas have made some beautiful stuff! Here is my creation, they are giving away a $25 gift certificate, I LOVE Verve and who couldn't use more Verve? I used a unfinished wooden frame, painted it with acrylic craft paint, stamped flourishes and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. My flowers are also heat embossed, double stamped and popped up. I also added a little bling to the flower centers and the butterfly.
The flowers are part of the Feel the Sun set from Verve's last release, these stamps are gorgeous! Well, I had fun with my flowers, just need to find a picture to put in my new frame. Thanks for taking a minute to have a peek, have a great day. :)

Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge, March Week 5

We are on our last challenge of the month for Viva la Verve. This week Amber gave us the sketch and we were to seek out inspirational kitchens on our own. I chose this cute kitchen.
I used my new Verve set Let It Shine with this sweet sentiment and sun. I colored the sun with Bic Mark its and added glitter to the sun's spirals with a glitter pen. Can't wait to see where Amber takes us next month. Thanks for popping in. :)

Amber gave us a sketch and 3 inspiration pictures to choose from, I chose the poppy apron. The sketch for week 5 is up, I may try to squeeze that one in tonight too. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Verve Spring Fling Color Challenge

This card was made for another one of Verve's Spring Fling. This was the color challenge using yellow, green, and chocolate. I used Verve's set, Express Yourself. This was my first attempt at distressing, and it took forever! I used my new little Heidi Swapp Distresser, then went back over the edges again with my fingernail, then over the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Oh, and the dots on the yellow panel is also a stamp from Verve from Bountiful Backgrounds. I stamped the polka dots in chocolate ink, then heat embossed with clear powder. That's it for now, thanks so much for popping in. :)

Verve Spring Fling Tag Challenge

This tag is for Verve's Spring Fling Tag Challenge. Which is right, I am tag challenged, lol! I gave it a shot anyway. The stamp is from Cup of Life from Verve. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Verve Spring Fling Re-use Challenge

This is for Verve's Spring Fling Re-use Challenge. We were challenged to recycle, reuse, or re-purpose something. Well, I have been using these containers, a juice bottle and spice bottles to hold crafting items, I covered them to make them a little nicer. Thanks for looking. :)

Verve Spring Fling Sketch Challenge

I made this card for the Verve's Spring Sketch Challenge. The sentiment is from Circular Sayings by Verve, and the darling little girl is a Pure Innocence digi image. Isn't she just the cutest? About a week ago, I bought quite a few of these images, my first digi stamps, and this is the first one I used. I still am not happy with my Prisma coloring, but it's not too bad. I know, practice, practice, practice! I did some stitching, and sponged some blue for the sky, and you can't see it but both butterflies have a little glitter. There are a total of five Verve challenges that are due by midnight, I'm going to try to get in another one or two, we'll see. Thanks so much for popping in! :)

Verve's Spring Clean and Simple Flower Challenge

I made this card for Verve's Spring Fling Clean And Simple Challenge. We were to make a clean and simple card with flowers. I used my brand new Verve, I still am on cloud nine! I won the whole new release from the Viva la Verve Challenge in January, woo hoo! Thank you again Julee! These stamps are BEAUTIFUL.
Anyway, this stamp is Birthday Wishes, and is a Plain Jane, that means it is only $3! Check out all of the new Verve here.
I used my favorite folder, Swiss Dots and colored with Prisma pencils, still not happy with my coloring. Gee, you think it would just be so easy, I'll get it sooner or later. I stamped the image twice and cut out and popped up the top image. That's it, thanks so much for stopping by. :)
