Viva la Verve November Week 1

New month, new Viva la Verve sketches! This is for week 1. Amber gave us three inspiration pictures from The Country Porch to choose from. They have some really cute stuff for country decorating.

Here is the sketch and the inspiration picture that I chose. The red gingham is a rubber stamp, and the snowflakes are from a dollar stamp from Michael's. The frame is from JustRite and the sentiment is from Verve. I used the Fleur de lis nestie for my ornament. I added some twine and a little stitching and distressing, and that's about it. Thank you so much for taking a peek, have a great night and a Happy Halloween. :)

Hoot Hoot Halloween

Ok, I have learned not to try sewing in the dark, lol. I made this card last night, I don't have a crafting room, or even an area. :( All my stuff is in shoe boxes that I have to pull out every time I make a card. I pulled out my sewing machine and had to use it in the dark, hubby was watching tv, and he's a troll who loves the dark, lol. I could have waited, but I wanted to finish. Anyway, my stitching looks terrible, eh, oh well. I used this cute owl set from Hero Arts again, and this fun paper from Nikki Sivils, it's on sale now at Artful Delight, as is Cosmo Cricket's Matilda pad. There are only a couple left, hurry and check it out!

Oh and Verve's winter release is tonight. The sneak peeks have been just beautiful! I can't wait to see the rest of the release. Thank you for taking a peek, have a fantastic weekend!

Viva la Verve

I got my final Verve sketch done for the month. This week we were to CASE one of Jackie Pedro's cards. All of her cards are amazing, it was so fun to pick one, you can see the one I chose here. Isn't it gorgeous! That image is really sweet. I chose to use my new Puppy Love from There She Goes Stamps and some fun bright papers from K & Co. The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils, that's it. Thanks so much for taking a peek, have a wonderful week! :)

Curtain Call Act 52

My mojo is still missing, but I still got a card done using last week's Viva la Verve sketch and this week's colors for Curtain Call. I love how these colors work together. The butterfly and flourish are both from Verve's Blue Skies set, and the sentiment is one of those fabulous freebies that Julee throws in. And check out that coverage with the white ink on dark cardstock. It is Frost White from Colorbox. This is the first white ink that I have been happy with.

Thank you so much for stopping in. :)

Viva la Verve, Oct., week 1

Ok, I have lost my mojo. I don't know where it has gone to, but it's missing. I have not been able to finish a card in quite a few days. :( I have started 3 cards and just keep taking them apart. I finished this one, but still am not happy with it. Anyway, the sentiment and image are both from JustRite, I love to color the corn and leaves, adding fall colors. :)

In the meantime, I read a couple of books, The Name of the Wind, and Drop Dead Gorgeous, almost finished a third, The Time Traveler's Wife, went to a movie, Life As We Know It, and made caramel apples and brownies. :)

Hoping to come across my mojo soon. Thanks for stopping in, have a great week. :)

DRS Desings, By Invitation Only

DRS Designs is having an amazing contest right now. You actually win before making any cards. What? Crazy right? Well I received an email saying that I had already won, all I needed to do was tell them which stamps I would need to make a card. How exciting is that? Well, I LOVE snowmen, I buy at least one every year to add to my holiday items. When I saw this adorable snowman I knew this was the stamp for me! And look at that banner, it was just asking to be popped up! The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS, the hat has some sparkly fluff on the trim, it's so cute and fuzzy! The paper is my new pad, Golly by Jolly from Cosmo Cricket. Here is the sentiment on the inside:

Awww, sweet! Check out all the details about this fun contest here or click on the DRS banner. Thank you so much for the invite Sue, this was so much fun, I love this snowman!

Check out all of their stamps here, they have so many fabulous stamps, my wish list just grew!

Thank you for stopping in for a peek. Have a great evening :)

JustRite Challenge #38

This week's challenge at JustRite Stampers is to use JustRite stamps to make a fall 3D project. My daughter actually helped me on this one. We made cupcake toppers using the Autumn Blessings set. She wants to do this again at Christmas time with the Christmas stamps. :) In case you are wondering, the cupcakes are carrot with cream cheese frosting mmmm. Have a great evening!

Happy Halloween

Can you believe it? I love Halloween and do not have any Halloween stamps! I found this fabulous free image at the Heartwarming Vintage Blog. I used the 4th sketch from Verve this week for my card and turned it on its side. The Shabby Tea Room's challenge this week is vintage Halloween with an inspiration photo. This free image matches the photo so well!
This week at Simon Says Stamp the challenge is a Halloween project.
The edges are distressed and sponged, and I made a homemade chipboard circle from a cereal box with Spellbinder's dies, and covered it with glitter. That's it for now, thanks so much for peeking. :)

Autumn Wishes

It is release week at Verve again, new sets are going to be released this Friday! That means 5 new sketches to play with. There is a bow in the sketch, but my ribbon supply is very limited and nothing I have matched, so I just left it off. The sentiment and leaves are both from Verve, Harvest Blessings, and Happiness Found, and the flourish is from Inkadinkado.

This week at Stamps R Us the challenge is all nature, and over at Kaboodle Doodles, the challenge is fall colors. Thanks so much for taking a peek, have a great night. :)

Both the circle border and image are colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS and popped up. Thanks so much for coming by for a peek. Have a great weekend.

Happy World Card Making Day!!! I have been making cards for almost a year now, so this is my first WCMD. I have been checking out everyone's blogs today, and of course making a couple of cards.
