I made this card for the Viva la Verve February Sketch Challenge, week 1. This month we are given different dining rooms to pull our inspiration from. I chose the second picture with the black and white room. The stamps are Black Tie Birdies from Verve ( aren't these little birds just the cutest?) the sentiment is from a magnetic set from Making Memories, and I used my glitter pen to give them a little sparkle. Thanks for stopping by. :)

I actually had some time this week to make another card! I saw this sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You. Their sponsor of the week is JustRite Stamps. This weeks winner of Card of the week will win the WHOLE Botanicals stamp set with coordinating wood blocks from JustRite. Oh my goodness, what a fantastic prize! I have been looking at JustRite stamps for a couple of months and really want to get some (they are on my wish list), they have some beautiful stuff. **Crossing fingers** :)
My butterfly stamp is from an old set from Hero Arts that I have had for years and have yet to use until now. My sentiment is from the $1 stamp bin from M's. I stamped my background from a flourish from Inkadinkado. I scored the card from a borrowed Crafter's Companion. In the picture it kind of looks like the scoring stops at the bottom, but it is scored all the way down, just the lighting I guess. Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek! :)

This card is for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge, MOJO122. I am really cutting it close on the deadline, even if I had missed it I would have made the card anyway, I really love this sketch, I'm sure I will be using it again. The swans are Swan Song and the background is from Thankful Accents, both from Verve. I am in love with Verve stamps, can you tell? lol. Almost all my stamps are from Verve!
The striped paper is DCWV, I also used my new Sakura Clear Gelly Roll pen. I am new to the stamping world, so even this pen is new, everything is new to me. There is sooooo much out there that I want!
There was a ribbon in the sketch, but my ribbon collection is small right now, and nothing matched my card, AGAIN. Oh well, I think it still turned out fine. But, I really do need to get more ribbons, they really add so much to cards.
Thanks for popping in! :)

I made this card for the Verve January sketch challenge, week three. There was a ribbon in the sketch, but my collection of ribbon is small, and nothing that I did have matched, so I left it off. The flowers are cut out and popped up. I stamped the polka dot background with Bountiful Backgrounds, the medallion on the green block and the design around the word smile is from Thankful Accents. I also used Circular sayings and Miracles Blossom~ all from Verve. Thanks for popping in! :)

This card is for Verve's *Get in Shape* challenge, make a card any shape other than A2. I have never made a shaped card before, so this was fun. I decided to draw up a baby bottle. I scored the measurement lines and around the rim on the bottle, then used chalk to highlight the scoring. Thank you for stopping by. :)

|This card is for the Viva la Verve At Home with Verve Sketch Challenge. This year there is a theme called "At home with Verve: A year long home walk-through". Every month this year we will "walk" through a different room and every week Amber gives us inspiration pictures of different rooms and a new sketch. This week, I chose #3, the Modern Floral. I knew when I saw that photo, I wanted to use my new Verve set, Budding Blossoms.|
I heat embossed my flowers and the background on the red block. I used my Bic Mark It markers, as I don't own Copics yet. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

This card is for the Mojo Monday sketch this week. I used one of my new sets from Verve, Notes of Prayer. I used nestabilities for the circle and the scallop. I also used a Cuttlebug folder and a new (to me) Martha Stewart Christmas punch. M's had Christmas scrapbooking items for 80% off! They didn't have much, but I got two border punches, a border and corner punch set, and 2 packs of paper for $15, the cost of one border punch's regular price. Not too bad! I normally miss out on the good sales, so this really thrilled me. :)

I am really going to try to get in on more of the Mojo sketches. I am new to stamping, but I know I just need to jump in there. How else am I going to learn? Anyway, really loved this sketch, plus it gave me a reason to ink up my new Verve stamps, A Cup Of Life. I fell in love with this set when it first came out a couple of months ago. I am so glad I finally got them! Also, Verve had a HUGE sale at the end of the year, OMG, I ordered so many sets! And still, there are more that I want, lol.
On this card I used machine stitching, I stamped the tea pot and cup on my BG paper and cut it out, and did some sponging. I picked up a new dauber, it is so much better than the makeup sponge that I was using!
Thanks for popping in to take a peek! :)
