Everyone of my thougts

Hi! I'm back with my second card today. This is for the last sketch of the month over in the Verve forum on SCS. I kinda got lazy on it, I didn't feel like taking out my sewing machine and adding stitching like on the sketch. It's in a heavy metal box in the closet and sometimes I just don't feel like lugging it out. I am so hoping we move by the end of the year, hubby is promising me a crafting area. It will just be a desk, not a whole room, but that is so much better than the nothing that I have now, lol. Also, my Bow Easy is MIA, so I just added a knot. The sentiment is from Verve, a pretty quick and easy card. Thanks so much for taking a peek, have a good night. :)

So thankful for your friendship

Hi there! I've got a quick post before I'm off to start dinner. I made this card using one of this month's sketches from the Verve and this sweet stamp set from There She Goes Stamps.
The flower border at the top is from a set from Anna Griffin that I have had for about 3 years and had yet to ink up, terrible I know! I didn't think that I would really use the borders, but after inking up this one, (finally!) I really like it. The flowers are colored with my Prismacolor pencils and OMS and the bg paper is K & Co.

I would like to enter the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show. There is also a fun hop going on now with prizes, check it out! That's it for now, I'll be back tonight or tomorrow with another sketch from Verve, thanks for stopping by! :)

Flourishes Favorites Challenge

I'm back with another card celebrating Flourishes 4th birthday. This card is for the favorites challenge, use your favorite Flourishes set. I am using Sweet Days of Summer, it is a new set, but oh, it is my favorite. I love the sweet silhouette images, this one here with the little girl watering her flowers, kids playing in a sprinkler, and a little girl reading a book under a tree, oh my goodness, this set is way to sweet! You still have until Sept. 1 to play along with your favorite Flourishes set, thanks for taking a peek at my card today! :)

Page Maps

Hi there! Ok, I just had to make a second card for the Page Maps sketch challenge, the prize is fabulous, go check it out, Basic Grey and Flourishes are the sponsors! I love the aqua and orange color combo and just had to use it, it's just so fun and happy. I love this sketch, love all the fun layers, and I love that I was able to use some of those small scraps that I saved. If I have some paper that I just love, yes I will keep these tiny scraps, I just can't part with them, lol. I have a box with my itty bittys, and I just love it when I am able to use them. :) Well, that's it for me today, I'll be back tomorrow with a card using an image from Flourishes. Have a great day.

Page Maps Sketch Contest

I love a good sketch, check out this one from Page Maps! I love all the fun layers, plus there is a fabulous prize from Basic Grey and Flourishes, two of my favorite companies! Once in awhile I like to try to challenge myself with a masculine card because they give me so much trouble, lol. It could also have something to do with my lack of guy stamps and papers! I love this stamp from Flourishes, the fish is just so fun to color. I've got some dressing, sponging, and some faux and real stitching going on here, I had so much fun with this card! Thank you for taking a peek, enjoy your Sunday. :)

Happy Birthday Flourishes!

Flourishes is turning 4 and they are celebrating with a couple of fun challenges. This one is to make a birthday card using Flourishes stamps. I am using this sweet image from the Bee My Honey set, love it! I colored it with Prisma color pencils, added some scoring with my little Scor-Buddy, and used my favorite border punch. You have until Thursday afternoon to link up, so there is plenty of time. Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Peace On Earth

Hi there! I was just over at the JustRite blog ooohing and ahhing over the newest stamps, (oh my goodness, they are gorgeous!!), and took a peek at the challenge and realized it ends in 2 hours! I was letting my camera batteries charge so that I could take my photo in the morning, because for some reason I thought that I had until tomorrow, oops! So I ran out into the fading light to get my photo, whew!

Challenge #56 is shaped holiday cards or tags. I used this image from the Christmas Treasures set. I embossed it in silver, I love the way it turned out! Then I cut 2 dies from Spellbinders Fleur de Lis and just criss crossed them. I then made a medallion, scoring the pleated folds with my Scor-Buddy, and cut the edges with a fleur de lis border punch to match. I added a pearl to each point, and the card back is a large circle nestie so it can stand. You could always add silver thread and make it into an ornament.

Well that's it for me today, thank you so much for stopping by, and for your sweet comments, have a great day. :)

Flashback Friday ~ My First Gift Card, Made 2009!

How about this super fun challenge, Flashback Friday. You submit something that you have previously made. This challenge is to show your first gift card holder. So here is mine from Nov. 2009. I had made this for my daughter's birthday the following month. The striped band slipped off and it opened up revealing the gift card. It's fun to look back at earlier projects. You can check out the fun challenge here. Thanks for taking a little peek! :D

With Gratitude

This week over at CASE Study, we get to choose our inspiration from a previous player. It was fun to look over the older entries. I chose this beauty from Vicki:

(If you click on her photo, it will take you to her post.) I liked the blue and browns, lace and all of the fabulous "stuff"! I'm using this week's Viva la Verve sketch too. And I'm using some new Verve, thank you again Andrea! Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great week. :)

The Shades Of Sunset Challenge

Hi! I'm back with another quick post with a card for one of Flourishes challenges. I have been wanting to try sponging a sunset background and what better time to try! I'm not real happy with the results, but, hey it's my first time. I'll blame it on the paper and sponges, lol. I did have fun with the technique, and will definitely be trying it again. Both the image and sentiment are from Flourishes. There is one more challenge, using fruits, but I don't have any fruity paper or stamps :( Though Flourishes has some GORGEOUS fruit stamps, they are of course on my long wish list. Thank you for having a little look! Have a wonderful weekend!

Flourishes Scavenger Hunt Challenge

Hello! I am playing along with one of Flourishes challenges for the new release. This challenge was a scavenger hunt, you hop the dt blogs and find what items need to go on your card.

I am using the Flourishes set Country Charm Labels for my card. Well, I'm off to try another challenge, they end in just a few hours. Thanks for popping by! :)

Verve ~ Get Your Diva On~

A new month, a new chance to be Guest Diva at Verve! The winner of the challenge will get to be Guest Diva in an upcoming release and will win all the new stamps for that release! This month Diva Jackie is the hostess and the challenge is Tag You're It!, add a tag to your card, scrapbook page, or make a set of tags.

I don't have any tag dies, so I used a nestie and just punched a hole in the top. All my stamps are from Verve: the teapot and cups are from A Cup Of Life, the sentiment is from Friendly Phrases, and I used a flourish from Blue Skies for the tea pouring out of the teapot. The papers are some MME that I have been hoarding, some vintage lace from my grandmother, and a little ribbon from Diva Michelle, thank you! Oh and the teapot and cups are colored with Prismacolor pencils. You can check out all the challenge details here. Thank you so much for stopping by for a little peek, have a great day! :D

Viva la Verve!

Hi, happy Sunday! I've got a quick post using one of this month's sketchs from the Viva la Verve challenges. Andrea's sketch was a quick and easy one. Both the flowers and oval frame are from JustRite Stampers. I stamped a script stamp in the oval, the flowers were colored with Prismacolor pencils, cut out, and popped up. A little sponging, some of my grandmother's vintage lace and that's it. Thanks so much for stopping by. :D

Thinking Of You

I'm back with my second post today. My card is for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I wanted to go with something a little soft and kinda shabby, I love the style but haven't really been able to pull it off to my liking yet. My sentiment and little ferns on the circle are both from Verve and the butterfly is an old Hero Arts stamp. Verve also has a new release coming up Aug 12, (yippy!) with peeks starting tomorrow on the Verve blog!

Thanks so much for taking a peek, have a great day :D

CASE Study #51

CASE Study is one year old, and this week we get to CASE any designer's card. I chose this card from Amy, I love her style! My sentiment is from Verve and the dp is Basic Grey.

You have until midnight Tuesday to play along. I'm off to run the kiddos around. Thanks for taking a little peek, have a great weekend! :D
