Heartfelt Thanks

I just received my newest set, In The Moonlight from JustRite, and I am totally in love! I had been wanting this set since it came out and finally got my hands on it, oh this little fairy is just darling! The challenge at the JustRite blog is An Act of Kindness, a Random Act of Kindness card, a gift to tell someone how much you appreciate them or a thank you card for someone that may have bestowed a random act of kindness to you. I was inspired by Tosh's gorgeous circle card this week.

And the Wee Memories challenge #49 this week is ANYTHING Goes! This week's sponsor is My Favorite Things, how exciting! They have those super cute Pure Innocence images, awww!

I love circle cards and have been wanting to try a circle easel card and I am so happy with how it turned out. I made this card for my neighbor, Vicky. She loves to bake and always brings us cookies, muffins, and baklava. She is just the sweetest and I wanted to make her something very special.

The round sentiment on the outside is stamped from a border stamp from the My Garden Borders & Centers set, and both the thank you sentiment and the fairy image are from In The Moonlight, it's one of the new cling sets. I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and OMS, then I cut out her out and have her popped up on the round sentiment border. I then stamped her wings a couple of times in white ink onto vellum, heat embossed and attached them, then added a little glitter, all fairies need a little sparkle ;) I glued a very thin border of glitter around the circular sentiment for a little more sparkle. I added a couple of paper flowers, some sponging and a Martha Stewart border punch. Whew, this took me quite awhile, but I think she will like it. Thanks so much for taking a peek! :)

CAS Baby

I just had to stamp out this little guy again! This week's Our Craft Lounge challenge is CAS with embossing. I stamped this little sweetie (from Our Craft Lounge's Circus Circus set) in white ink and used heat embossing. I love the clean look of the giraffe just embossed on the blue without any coloring, so sweet! The sentiment is also from the same set, a little stitching, a button and some twine and that's all.

I finally got the lacey nesites that I have been drooling over! I love them and can't wait to use them again. Thanks so much for stopping by! :D

TSG 99

This week's challenge at There She Goes Stamps was a fun one, Stand Out From The Background. You create a one layer card that has images stamped in the same color as the card, then color and cut out your main image and add it to the card base. I have never tried it, but I think it is really cute. I used the sweet Puppy Love set and stamped the bones and paw prints then the cute puppy and added him with pop dots. That's it. Thanks for taking a peek! :)

Baby Boy

Good morning! I finished up this card last night with this sweet little giraffe from one of Our Craft Lounge's new sweet sets Circus, Circus. I used the sketch for this month's SFYTT. The gingham is a stamp too, don't know who makes it, I bought it unmounted online last year. He is colored with Prismacolor pencils and that's really about it. I love this little guy and will probably ink him up again soon. Thanks for peeking, have a great week. :)

Verve ~ Get Your Diva On~

It's time for this month's Get Your Diva On Challenge from Verve! The winner will get to be a Guest Diva in an upcoming release and will receive the whole release! EEK! How exciting is that?! This month's challenge is to use all neutrals with a splash of color to represent Spring. You still have until Sunday the 20th at 9pm MT to enter.

For my card I used a sentiment from Verve's Feel The Sun and my layered flower is from One Person. I used a mat made from Bermuda Bay and colored my flower with Prismacolor pencils, and the leaves are paper pieced for my splash of color. Oh I just love this DP from My Minds Eye! I tried to take my photo earlier, but the batteries were dead in my camera. You can see that I was running out of daylight by the time they were charged again :)

Thank you so much for popping by, have a fantastic weekend!

Birthday Cheer

This is for this week's Tag Challenge at Joans Gardens. I have such a hard time with tags, I guess because they are small? I don't know, hmmm.

My stamps are from Verve, and I used some scrap papers, I have 3 boxes full and tags are the perfect way to use them! I added some glitter with my glitter pen, but it doesn't really show up in the photo.

I love tags and I will be working on some more soon. Thanks so much for stopping in, have a great weekend. :D

Mojo 181

Hi! This week's Mojo Monday sketch was a little intimidating to me so I definitely wanted to give it a try. I used some K&Co papers and both stamps are from Verve, the sentiment is from Relax and the butterfly is from Blue Skies. The smallest panel is a piece of vellum that I embossed and I added some zig zag stitching. That's about it for me today, thanks for taking a peek, have a fabulous weekend! :)

And I used my newest border punch that I just received from Jacque, thank you again!

JustRite # 49, Direct To Rubber

I started this one off thinking of soft colors, maybe vintage, but that's not what happened, lol. The challenge at JustRite Stampers right now is to use the direct to rubber technique. My markers were brighter than I thought they would be, but the colors made me think of Cosmo Cricket's DeLovely collection, and I love the papers, they are so bright and fun! I used JustRite's Thinking of You set for the image and the frame border. I colored the image pink, yellow, and two different shades of green. I then took a paint brush and with a little water painted over my image. It looks kinda like water coloring, cool! Here is a close-up:
I used a little of a blue marker and the wet brush and painted a soft background. The sentiment and border were also inked using the direct to rubber technique. Everything looks kinda flat in the photo, but the oval and the sentiment tag are both popped up. You still have until Thursday morning 8am Central time to play along with your JustRite stamps, check it out here. And there is also a fabulous blog hop right now featuring all the new stamps, amazing! Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
